Divine Comedy - Diva Lady

Label: Select Label
Format: CDS
Comeback single from the Divine Comedy, back after a long absence which recalls New Order

Review

'Diva Lady' is more polished than previous Divine Comedy records. It sounds more mature and not drowned in over the top instrumentation until a bit later. Oh, well, tigers dont change their skins ,eh ! At times it sounds like New Order, but without the grooves, and it is one hell of a pop ditty. The B side, 'Don't Blame the Young' sounds like late 60's Bowie jamming with the Bonzo Dog Do-Dah Band. Cool stuff indeed !
