Simon's done a good job on this first issue. It reminds me of the type of fanzines you used to get in the C86 period in that it really has an amazing feeling for the music it features and makes you want to go out and check these new bands out.
Obviously going by the title it features Baxendale as well as Looper, Younger Younger 28s and an interview with Rosita (get their single if you can see it now)and Trembling Blue Stars but it features more things than just music.
There's a feature on the wonderful 'A Life Of Grime', the best docu-soap on TV , book reviews, Elvis plays the lottery and even how to dance in your bedroom and the verdict on what the best flavour Pringles are! For me though the best article is written by someone called Big Fat Flying Bloke who produces his own fanzine, Cloud 9. He writes about music and pulls no punches as he lambasts the state of pop with everyone from Westlife to Matthew Marsden getting a slating! Just don't get him started on Dannii Minogue!
All in all, 28 pages with a fine mixture of content, what else can you get for a pound these days?
