Review

Los Angeles songwriter Diane Warren is very well connected. She has written Number One hits for countless US artists (Starship and Answad are recent examples) and power ballads for the likes of Celine Dion, Cher and Mariah Carey. So when, at age 64, Diane Warren decided to release her own debut album, she had no difficulty persuading people to help out. On her newly released 'The Cave Sessions Vol.1', Celine Dion, John Legend, Carlos Santana all appear along with numerous others. The album's fifteen tracks cover many musical genres and the highlights reaffirm Diane Warren's sheer class. 'Seaside' which includes Rita Ora, Sofia Reyes and Mexican pop trio Reil is a joy as is the girl-group flavoured 'Not Prepared For You' which is perfect for ex-Fifth Harmony singer Lauren Jauregui. “The Cave Sessions Vol 1” is a masterclass in songwriting!
