Emerging Suffolk indie quartet Superglu rattle through rambunctious release
Review
Unapologetically rackety guitar leads into a song that in its brash exuberance and hearty harmonies recalls early Supergrass. If not musically original, its energy is still enough to get the body moving and head nodding (while musing over lyrics like “October she’s red cola/July she’s marzipan”), and when it slows in the coda, there’s a hint of vulnerability that suggests Superglu could be in your heart as much as in your face.
