In this 'Photoscapes' Marie Hazelwood photographs Ian Curtis's one-time house and grave
Article
For this 'Photoscapes', Marie Hazelwood has travelled to Joy Division singer'Ian Curtis's home town of Macclesfield, which is twenty miles South East of Manchester.
These photographs show 77 Barton Street where he lived with his wife Deborah and died and its surrounding streets, and also his gravestone in nearby Macclesfield Cemetery.
Marie's photographs finds both thirty-five years on from his death in a state of change. His house has been sold to businessman and musician Hadar Goldman who plans to convert it into a museum, while the grave, despite being visited regularly by fans, is in a surprisingly bad and rundown shape.
