Intriguing instrumental electronica on joint album from Moebius Story Leidecker
Review
If Germany was an electronic jungle, then 'Snow Ghost Pieces' could be field recordings yielded from the nation's urban and country sides. These three musicians, with roots in - long live the cliché - Krautrock, push the envelope though, restraining to swinging chair electronic and defining their wayward melodies.
These smoothly swaying layers of both the blunt and the crispy join the listener in as if hitch-hikers were writing autobahn film script scores, but ultimately turn out to be dear road companions. Winter tyres guide one's ears through a bright and fresh soundscape, before the distinct melody lines burst through and perform this mini symphony. Post-industrial hazard business on 'Fracture Fuss' builds the centre piece for the album. The cascade of sound on this particular track comes in appropriately. Modern composing? Post-industrial? Upgraded Krautrock? At present, I stand undecided.
It is one of today's most intriguing LPs , so either way you should listen. 'Snow Ghost Stories' tell of underneath the skin episodes.
