Eddi Reader is a much acclaimed Scottish singer-songwriter and folk musician. Reader is the former front woman with Fairground Attraction, whose single 'Perfect' reached number in the UK in 1988. The winner of three Brit Awards, Reader, who was awarded the MBE in 2006, has just released her self-produced tenth solo album 'Vagabond', which includes as well as her own compositions, the title track which takes its lyrics from a poem by the English poet John Masefield; a traditional Gaelic song 'Buain Ná Rainich'; 'Baby's Boat', which is adapted from a nineteenth century lullaby, and 'Macushla (My Darling)', a cover of a song by the much acclaimed Dundee singer-songwriter Michael Marra who died in 2012. Eddi Reader is currently playing dates across Britain to promote 'Vagabond', with her group which includes ex-Bible front man Boo Hewerdine on guitar. These photographs were taken at a gig at a show at the ABC in her native Glasgow by Bill Gray on the 28th April.
