Horsebeach - Faded Eyes

Label: AT Records
Format: 7"
Atmospheric and melancholic second vinyl only single from rising Manchester-based band, Horsebeach

Review

Back in January, Horsebeach’s debut single sold out on the day of its release, pretty much by word of mouth of those lucky enough to be in the know. Thankfully a second single, 'Faded Eyes', is now available and even though it has been pressed in more than double the numbers of the debut, it won’t be around for long, so snap one up while you can. It follows on from where the debut left off with singer Ryan Kennedy’s vocals showing more than a passing nod to many of the great 80’s Sarah bands such as the Field Mice and the Orchids and the music, especially on b-side 'Dull' being both atmospheric and melancholic, like Johnny Marr at his early Smithsian best. More late night restlessness than bright sunny day, but still a fine addition to Manchester’s musical lineage and certainly a band to keep close tabs on.

Track Listing:-
