Alison Krauss is an American bluegrass musician, singer-songwriter and violinist. She went into the music industry at a young age, signing to Rounder Records at the age of 14 and releasing her debut album, ‘Too Late to Cry’, with her regular backing band Union Station at the age of 16 in 1987.
Since then she has recorded fourteen bestselling albums, both with and without Union Station, and has won 27 Grammy Awards. Her much acclaimed 2007 album, ‘Raising Sand’, was a collaboration with Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant.
These photographs from Marie Hazelwood of Alison Krauss and Union Station were taken at a show at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on the 14th July as part of a tour to promote their latest album, ‘Paper Airplane’, which came out at the end of last year.
