Review

To be honest, the only thing that initially attracted this writer to the band was their name, which is half-pinched from post-punk veterans tThe Fall. Fortunately - or unfortunately (depending on your point of view) - this Birmingham trio sound nothing like them. Instead 'Killer on the Dancefloor' harks back to the 80s via the Gothic Romanticism of 'Faith'-era The Cure and Bauhaus, but given an electro makeover and a rather large serving of the Killers placed on top. And a spot of David Bowie circa 'Scary Monsters' for good measure. 'Killer on the Dancefloor' is accomplished enough to be commended but the band need to come out from under the shadow of their influences and let their own personalities shine.
