Perfect indie pop on latest EP from My Laundry Life, the moniker for German musician Andre Daners

Review

‘The Emerald Trade’ is the latest EP by My Laundry Life, the moniker for German musician Andre Daners, whose music always cheers me up no end. It was recorded over Easter in a bedroom onto 4 track. The four tracks here are as good as anything by the Smiths. ‘Any Day All Mine’ is upbeat and perfect indie pop at its best, while ‘Struggle On’ is as joyful and pure as life itself. It is lovely from start to finish and puts a smile even on my Leonard Cohen face, ‘The Emerald Trade’ is wholesome and heartwarming. ‘She Will Call’, which ends this 3 inch CD, is absolutely charming and a head bopper too. The whole EP is total joy. God, I love this band. They make you rejoice at your life because they are in it too. Thank you, Andre.
