MRK1 - Going Down

Label: Studio Rockers
Format: CDS
Dark dubstep on latest single from MRK1, the project of Manchester-based producer, Mark Foster

Review

From 2001 onwards, Mark Foster has recorded as MRK1 of Manchester's Virus Syndicate and is regarded one of grime and dubstep's godfathers. Yes, it's grime up north and 'Going Down' means going very deep. Graced with an effective hiphop flavour, the track gradually gets a grip on you. As if in a slow tango with an octopus. Onto the B-Side we go. Clapping beats, hefty drums and clattering percussion went into 'Bleep Plan'. Complex and austere, but a raw beauty.

Track Listing:-

1 Going Down
2 Going Down (Dub)
3 Bleep Plan
