Oh Ruin - The Pillow Where Your Head Does Lay

Label: Static Caravan
Format: 7"
Epic and romantic debut vinyl only single from Oh Ruin, the project of crooning Irish singer Eoin O'Ruinaigh

Review

Eoin O'Ruinaigh moved from Dublin to London and debuts on Static Caravan with a seven inch vinyl single in a run of 500 copies. Sooner a crooner than a balladeer, Oh Ruin first sings of passionate love memories on 'The Pillow Where Your Head Does Lay', in what is quite an epic piece in its own right. Oh Ruin has a certain nonchalence about him which only adds to the drama in his lovecry. Flip over to 'Ringsend' and witness redemption. Oh Ruin now dwells in darkness and embarks on small-time bombast, almost immaculately. Better return to the 'Pillow' track; it is the one to go for on this release.
