Yeti Lane - Twice

Label: Sonic Cathedral
Format: CD
Excellent latest EP from melodic, but experimental French group, Yeti Lane

Review

'Twice' is the new EP from the Parisian trio Yeti Lane, who released their self-titled debut album to much acclaim on Sonic Cathedral at the beginning of the year. The title track grips you from its start. It has the proggy, but catchy feel of early Pink Floyd and as it moves along it becomes ever more charming and enticing. 'Floating' drifts along wimpishly like Air until more aggressive guitars kick in and give it a much needed lift. 'Speed Me Up' has smooth, jangly guitars that are once more charming while singers Ben and LoAc's vocals have similar harmonies to Crosby, Stills and Nash. 'Wave' is keyboard based and, like the best Krautrock, odd, perky and brilliant. An excellent EP from this melodic, but experimental French group
