Fortune - Bully

Label: Distiller Records
Format: CDS
Compentent but juvenile set of remixes on new EP from French electro pop act Fortune

Review

This segment of new rave electro pop from French act Fortune was recorded at Motorbass Studio, which lead to that typical driving house beat, popular about ten years ago during the heyday of Laurent Garnier and his F-Comm label mates. In 2010 'Bully' and its B-Side 'Mission' alas sound tiresome and loud when you expect stylish house music. 'Bully' ironically enough recalls the Audio Bullys with its vocals which sound like they have come from spotty and streetwise 17-year olds messing about. This is competent but juvenile fun, which comes in remixes from M83 and Tom Neville and a more sloppy one from Curtis Vodka, and sounds high on testerone, drugs and alcohol in no particular order.

Track Listing:-

1 Bully
2 Mission
3 Mission (M83 Remix)
4 Bully (Tom Neville's Dinner Money-Shot Vocal Mix)
5 Bully (Tom Neville's Dinner Money-Shot Radio Edit)
