REM - Hollow Man

Label: Warner Bros
Format: CDS
Familiar-sounding, but excellent latest single from REM, the second from their new 'Accelerate' album

Review

‘Hollow Man’ is the second single for REM from their ‘Accelerate’ album, and is only available as a two song CD. A track that was almost predestined to be a single, it begins as a moody slow burner with elegant piano, before it speeds up to full gear and develops REM’s familiar jangling sound. This is what they do best, and this is a very fine example of it. On the B side, is a new version of ‘Horse to Water (Vancouver)’, one of the tracks on ‘Accelerate’, which is very aggressive, much more so than the album version and sounds like the Stooges at their most urgent.

Track Listing:-

1 Hollow Man
2 Horse To Water (Vancouver)
3 Indian Summer
