Funeral for a Friend were formed in Cardiff in 2002 and were voted Kerrang’s Best UK Newcomers just over a year later.
In the time since then the Welsh post-hardcore band have been the winners of various other Kerrang awards, had nine UK Top 40 singles and also three bestselling albums, 'Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation' (2003),'Hours'(2005) and 'Tales Don't Tell Themselves' (2007), the latter of which reached No. 3 in the albums chart.
The group, which currently consists of Matt Davis (vocals), Kris Coombs-Roberts (guitar) , Darren Smith (guitar), Gareth Davies (bass), and Ryan Richards (drums), have always toured feverishly, and have played both the Warped and Taste of Chaos tours as well as prestigous slots at the Reading and Leeds and Downloads Festivals.
These photographs were taken by Katie Anderson at a gig at the Bournemouth Opera House on the 10th December on Funeral for a Friend's latest British tour.
