Arctic Monkeys - Fluorescent Adolescent

Label: Domino Records
Format: CDS
Appealing latest single from bestselling Sheffield group the Arctic Monkeys

Review

The last thing I wanted to do was to give the Arctic Monkeys a good review as it’s not like they need it. Being someone who never really hoped on that particular bandwagon I never really thought I was missing something. When their second album was received well by the press but seemingly less so by fans I was hopeful their ship would sink, but not anytime soon it seems and this is kind of single is the reason why. Fluorescent Adolescent is a pure piece of indie/pop heaven, intricate guitar/drum intro and a melody Lennon and McCartney would be proud of, not to mention the lyrics, I think even the most successful writing combo ever would have struggled to rhyme with 'Tabasco'. As I much as I hate to love this song I can’t help it, it’s got a special sort of hold over me.
