Sessions - What is This Feeling

Label: Indio
Format: 7"
Funky 70's influenced debut single from Alan McGee's current new favourite band, the Sessions

Review

‘What is This Feeling’ is the debut single from Alan McGee's current new favourite band, the Sessions . It is funky in a 70’s way, while singer Taz Allie’s vocals are very soulful. The backing instrumentation is poppy in a rocky way, like decent commercial rock in the vein of Primal Scream and the Stone Roses. ‘So Wanna Go’ has a brilliant bass intro and a Finlay Quayle vocal. After this it gets a little more gritty with big riffs, which are reminiscent of those of Hard Fi. ‘What is This Feeling’ (Cherrystones Remix)’ is very housey, but with a good groove, and again is very soulful.

Track Listing:-

1 What Is This Feeling
2 What Is This Feeling (Cherrystones' Blood, Sweat & Beers Remix)
