Honour Among None - The Art of Survival EP

Label: Sevensixes
Format: CDS
Juvenile debut EP from nevertheless exciting, rising Welsh metal band Honour Among None

Review

Welsh band Honour Among None have played with some great bands including Byzantine and Shaped by Fate, but I can't help feeling this is because of where they come from. CD opener 'My Self Destroys' starts off fantastically with some excellent metal riffs but I'm ashamed to say that what was a promising start descends into what I consider to be an outdated form of music that wouldn't have been out of place at the turn of the millenium and is no longer er... “nu." Honour Among None do, however, create some strong sounds and some excellent riffage on the record and I look forward to their next CD as I think with a little more progression they will be creating sounds that would sit happily in the UK music scene and give them the kind of support any band wants and needs. A good effort but just a little “juvenile” in some ways. I do, however, believe that Honour Among None would be blistering to see live and intend to do this as soon as I can.
