Q Without U - Slow Clap

Label: Select Label
Format: 7"
Enjoyable first single from their forthcoming debut album from Glaswegian art-pop-rockers Q Without U

Review

Glaswegian art-pop-rockers Q Without U are releasing the first single from their forthcoming debut album - hooray! ‘Slow Clap’ is great, an indie rock track that sounds like a Scottish version of Burning Airlines, with enough keyboard bleeps and glockenspiel play to give it a pleasant Magoo feeling, while at the same time sounding like something altogether different. The B side, ‘The Face That Launched’, has a similar sound, but takes a more traditional indie sound too, sounding more similar to other Scottish bands Idlewild and Biffy Clyro, but with a bit of new wave mixed in. If this single is anything to go by, Q Without U are likely to bring out a very accessible debut album, and no doubt will be playing the festival circuit in the next few years, and possibly even breaking into the charts. Here’s hoping !

1 Slow Clap
