Appealing 80's-sounding Euro pop from new band, Ichinchilla
Review
I had a neighbour once and she kept chinchillas in the living room. She was a bit mad though with chickens in the backyard in a bustling part of the city. Chinchillas are though nice super furry animals. Ichinchilla equally is an attention demanding little monkey.
'Record-Player' is a nice ditty, but a little easy to forget about though.
'Def Disco Player', the second track, is the one with the buzz. 1970's Euro disco sound bubble with a nice stomping beat and do the job. With Goth type of vocals, it sounds like a Belgian single from 1980. Then it was New Beat, in 2006 it's retro.
The third and final song is 'Les Voleurs-Player' which is like the Gilles Petersen version. Smooth, funky and spacey and probably the one that will last longest on this, Ichinchilla's debut.
