Crimea - Lottery Winners On Acid

Label: Warner Bros
Format: CDS
Excellent new single from highly recommended indie guitar act, the Crimea

Review

The Crimea are a fantastic band and, if there’s any justice in this world, singles like this will see them triumph in 2006. ‘Lottery Winners on Acid’ is probably the most upbeat song from the band’s debut album, 'Tragedy Rocks', and its sing-a-long chorus makes it instantly appealing There are beautiful, ridiculously catchy melodies over gorgeous sweeping guitar and lovely plinky-plonky keyboards. It’s a little bit country, a little bit Beach Boys, and it’s brought to a brilliant conclusion by a whole chorus of singers coming in at the end. In short, if you don’t have this song somewhere in your music collection, you are probably incomplete as a person. So quite good, yes !
