Erase Errata - At Crystal Palace

Label: Blast First
Format: CD
Second album from Californian band Erase Errata, which finds them hauling through memories of "archive amateurish English punk rock from the '76-'77 era of Indiedom"

Review

Erase Errata's second album and their first for Blast First see this 4 year old band deliver 13 songs in just under 28 minutes. While the band actually come from California, this on the whole sounds like archive amateurish English punk rock from the '76-'77 era of Indiedom. The front cover looks twee, but inside the music at best recalls Siouxsie during her earliest period. It works best when things speed up a bit and is reminiscent also of very early Elastica in places. If you lived during punk's heyday though, you will have heard this stuff before, but done much better.
