Tummler - Early Man

Label: Small Stone Records
Format: CD
Unremarkable stoner rock from Tummler whose music "huffs from the same bong as Nebula and Fu Manchu"

Review

Tummler huffs from the same bong as Nebula and Fu Manchu, churning out fuzzy stoner rock that sounds quite a bit like a lot of other stoner rock. Tummler’s first album, 'Queen to Bishop IV', on the now-defunct Man’s Ruin label was primo space-biker rock; 'Early Man'hasn’t evolved enough from the crowd to be much more than an enjoyable stop-gap listen. The only thing that sticks out to these ears is that the vocalist bears a slight resemblance to Zen Guerilla’s Marcus Durant. Not bad, but fairly unremarkable.
