Dave Goodwin photographs Future Islands at a show at Rock City in Nottingham
Article
American synthpop band Future Islands have become renowned for their live shows, which combine frontman Samuel T. Herring's gymnastic vocals and dancing with Gerrit Welmers (keyboards and programming), William Cashion (bass, acoustic and electric guitars) and live touring drummer Michael Lowry's anthemic musical sound.
The group, who have played over 1,000 shows since forming in Maryland in 2006, are currently touring Europe to promote their fifth album 'The Far Field', and played Nottingham Rock City on the 22nd June.
These photographs of Herring were taken by Dave Goodwin at that show.
