Laid back, fabulous electronica on new single from Future Loop Foundation, the project of Sheffield-based musician Mark Barrott, which appears with several remixes
Review
Not so much an EP as three interpretations of a gossamer-light, ‘I’m looking at a beautiful sunrise while lying in the arms of the one I love’ soundscape.
The Aaron Jerome remix transforms the chilled-out Radio Edit into something so meltingly laid-back it makes water-birthing music sound like Slipknot.
But it’s track two and four burning up our iPod: the Padded Cell remix, which propels the track to the far reaches of outer space with its interstellar bleeps and echoes, and Trenchman’s take, which catapults it straight back down to earth using pavement-quaking bass grooves.
Fab.
