Seeland - Library

Label: Loaf Records
Format: CDS
Offbeat electronica on new single from Seeland, which features former members of Broadcast and Plone

Review

Seeland are Tim Felton, formerly of Broadcast, and Billy Bainbridge, who used to be in Plone. Both acts used to be big on the Birmingham electronica-based music scene of about 10 years ago now. ‘Library’ is the first single from their debut album which is due out next year. Seeland have also released a few singles on small labels that have long sold out now. The title track has an offbeat 1960’s feel, and sounds like the Beach Boys playing around in the BBC radiophonic workshop. ‘Call the Incredible’ is another weird 1960’s-style number. It recalls the Teardrop Explodes and is very slow until it speeds right up at the end. Like Broadcast and Plone, it will either bore you or you will love it.

Track Listing:-

1 Library
2 Call The Incredible
