Emanuel are a five-piece post-hardcore band from Clarksville, Indiana.
They formed in 1998 under the title of Emanuel Nice and put out various EPs and a split album with a New Jersey act Lanemayer, before changing their name in 2004 after signing to Vagrant Records.
They have since then released their debut album 'Soundtrack to a Headrush' in 2005 and in August a second album, 'Black Earth Tiger'.
These photographs were taken by Katie Anderson for Pennyblackmusic on a recent British tour in which they supported Fightstar at the Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms on October 12th.
