Brett Anderson is best known for being the former singer with the bestselling 90's Britpop act Suede, who released six albums and a singles collection between 1992 and 2003.
After Suede split up at the end of 2003, Anderson formed the Tears with former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler who had left the band acrimonously in 1994.
With the Tears having gone into indefinite hiatus after releasing one well-received album 'Here Come the Tears' in 2005, Anderson announced last year that he was working on his first solo album.
The solo album, which will be called simply 'Brett Anderson, is due out in late March.
Anderson recently played his debut solo gigs over the course of three nights between March 5th and 7th at the Bush Hall in London. These photographs were taken on the second of those nights exclusively for Pennyblackmusic by Anna Gudaniec.
