Secret Shine - Beyond Sky and Sea EP

Label: Razorblade
Format: CDS
Lush, perfect new EP from recently reformed shoegazers and former Sarah Records signing Secret Shine

Review

Sarah Records' act Secret Shine return with this lovely EP, their first since they reformed in 2005 after splitting up for nine years. It is totally lush and absolutely perfect, like Slowdive but with vocals that are both cleaner and louder. This is just a fantastic trip The first and second tracks, 'Lost Memory' and 'Hit the Ground' perfectly marry Jamie Gingell and Kathryn Smith's vocals, while jangly guitars battle in the background to excellent effect. The final and title trick starts off with moody piano, while the guitars trip in a shy way. The vocals are very big and dramatic. It is wonderful to have them back.

Track Listing:-

1 Lost Memory
2 Hit the Ground
3 Beyond Sea and Sky
