Review
This Swedish duo, consisting of Örjan and Fredrik, met last summer when they were both leaders at a summer camp. They became friends and started making music together, under the name Eurosport. The first results were downloadable from their website last winter, and their first EP was released in the spring of 2005. Actually, this EP is practically the same one, with the exception of a jewel case box and a few added remixes, and the change of name to Le Sport (there is a TV channel which is also called Eurosport, and they didn’t like it…).
'Tell No One about Tonight' couldn’t actually have come at a better time. For the past year or so, the Italo disco wave of the 80’s have had a big renaissance among the Swedish indiepop audience, and just by listening to the title track and the even better 'Your Brother is My Only Hope' you can tell that Örjan and Fredrik know what they’re doing. Both these songs have been played a lot on Swedish national radio during the past months, and the title track even made it to the Tracks list, which is a music chart voted for by the radio listeners.
This is very good indeed, They sing in English and, even though the non-Swedish listeners probably will remark on the English pronunciation, you can’t deny that there are solid hits. A new single is on its way, this time on vinyl, and I’m sure it will be just as good!
