Review

'Dakchi Hani' (Nothing Serious) from Swiss-Moroccan singer Sami Galbi marks a debut with an immediate effect on the hips. Bumping bubbles of Arab-Euro house with shearing riffs on the keyboards and fun words too - so I'm told since I don't speak let understand any Arabic language. A snappy 45rpm single with chart appeal, helped by the prestige Les Disques Bongo Joe have built up, including quite a bit of airplay on the BBC. Sami Galbi's roots show more evidence still on the B-side 'Rruina' with raï and chaâbi influences on display.
