Knocking on My Door’ is the first single from the Hummingbirds’ new album, ‘Pieces of You’. It is a great little rock and roll ditty which has on first listening a very Liverpool/Manchester sound to it. Imagine the Hollies and the Coral made a baby (ask your parents) this would have been the offspring. Yes, ‘Knocking of My Door’ does draw many comparisons of Liverpool bands from the past. A tale of heartbreak, this single could have been released at the height of Merseybeat but it’s very typical of the new Liverpool sound too. It’s true to say people in Liverpool tend to have the best record collections and this has just added to their collection.
