Worthless - Children of the Grave/Softest

Label: Market Square Records
Format: 7"
Fabulous limited seven inch vinyl only single from New York-based Acid punks, Worthless

Review

Worthless are oddballs of the underground New York scene, and both sides of this double A-sided single, which is limited to three hundred copies, could have been released back in the mid-60s. 'Children of the Grave' is slow with drawn-out lyrics that are hushed quiet, while musically it sounds like an early Pink Floyd number that has been squeezed into a rubber ball and then bounced off a wall into a hundred colours. 'Softest' it's B-side, sounds like 'Sunspots' by Julian Cope, and slowed right down, is both hypnotic and very psychedelic. A fabulous single.
