Fabulous lo-fi seven inch vinyl-only split single from husband and wife Ichi and Rachael Dadd
Review
Separated by two sides of vinyl but married in real life, Ichi and Rachael Dadd perform a clever blend of looped little twangs, which sound as if they have come from abandoned typewriting machines trying to write new dance music.
Deliciously delicate, its starts with Ichi's bouncing 'Go Gagambo' – which is built around a simple snare twang, out of which a pattern of apparently chaotic sound effects evolve. Without any sense of shame, Rachael Dadd's 'Make a Sentence' flirts with Static Caravan æsthetics to exhilarating effect on other side. It is a fabulous ditty, which is reminiscent of Hannah Peel.
This husband and wife use household and kitchen appliances that results in downbeat rock and roll. Splendid stuff.
