A most unlikely combination of batucada mayhem and 60's garage punk, which incidentally was recorded in dopey Amsterdam, in a sense marks that bluesy grunge can go Brazil. Fumaça Preta, whose name translates as "black smoke", even compare to the freaked-out Mothers of Invention when they hammer their Hammond organ keyboards, towards the latter part of 'Vou-Me Libertar'. Count yourself lucky to find a copy! It's one of the great singles of the decade.
