Summing up various previous recordings, this Habibi CD showcases the work of Norman Lamont over the past 8 years.
His songs remain unremarkable but the fourth song, 'Leaving', at least has a touch of African joy to it, so all his effort weren't entirely wasted. Soon enough though, you are jolted back to those predictable la-de-da tunes.
This album serves as a reminder as to how tedious a lot of the singer-songwriter scene has become.
