Forceful debut album which proves to be an acquired taste from Transmontaine, the nom de plume for American singer and guitarist Ryan Duncan
Review
One man and his electrical guitar can be a sign of virtually anything. Transmontane is one Ryan Duncan residing in Mid-West America and similar to Ohio's My Dad Is Dead from the mid 1980s. He strums the chords and raises his voice. A stand-up guitarist if you like, like Billy Bragg standing on a purely non-political soap box.
Duncan's stamina remains amazing. This smack in the face of an album knows no charm but instead enrols protest chants, accompanied by rudimentary guitar music. Stern and austere, which is not everyone's liking.
