Killkrinkleclub - Abandon

Label: Tall Ship Records
Format: CD
Superb debut album from Killkrinkleclub, which frequently knocks at the door of brilliance and a year after bieng released in their native Ireland has finally come out in Britain

Review

After a year of lying on department shelves, the 'Abandon' album finally takes the Killkrinkleclub word across the shores from their native Ireland. Killkrinkleclub's sound thrives on a sinister breeze with elegant, almost pedantic vocals on top. One moment they sound like a synth-pop 45 played at 33, the next they're testing the new pro tools. Killkrinkleclub have their Brian Wilson Beach Boy moment on '59' with psychedelic whirly vocals and, whilst they keep knocking at the door of brilliance, 'Abandon' proves a tour de force. No exclamation marks on this album.
