Tamborines - Black and Blue/Indian Hill

Label: Soft Power
Format: 7"
Perfect vinyl only single from London-based psychedelic outfit, the Tamborines

Review

This vinyl only single is London-based psychedelic band the Tamborines’ first new material since ‘Camera and Tremor’, their debut mini album of last year. ‘Black and Blue' is a softly played and sweet little number that is somewhat twee, a song to hold hands too and nod your head along to. It is sung by Lulu Grave, and, full of summer sunshine, is absolutely lovely. The other side is ‘Indian Hill’, which, sung by Henrique Laurindo, is faster, and has more of a garage rock sound than their recent Jesus and Mary Chain-influenced output which is a fine move as far as I am concerned. They recently blew their headliners, Crystal Stilts, off stage at a gig in London. This blue vinyl 7 inch is just perfect.
