Anthemic, but instantly forgettable debut album from Brighton-based band, Two Spot Gobi
Review
The similarity to Coldplay, on the opening track, is so striking that you'd expect Two Spot Gobi to disappear as by themselves, yet they haven't so they need the voice of authority to tell them to bugger off. There's not even one memorable melody line on this CD.
At their very best Two Spot Gobi sound like a poor man's Steely Dan, like Level 42 for example. Overall, Two Spot Gobi play cappuccino table cloth indie nonsense.
