Review
Dandelion Snow is singer-songwriter Roger Harvey. The album, 'The Grand Scheme of Things', was recorded with a small group of friends and produced by Chris Barker of Anti Flag.
Musically it’s punk meets alt.country, with multi-layered instrumentals behind Harvey’s plaintive vocals. Perhaps a bit too plaintive, at times.
I have to say that it doesn’t really grab me, which probably explains why it’s taken me so long to get around to writing this review. I’ve listened to it a few times now, but I just can’t raise much enthusiasm. The sound is good, the lyrics are good, but for me it just lacks a certain spark.
