Review

Simian Mobile Disco’s follow up to 'Attack Decay Sustain Release' is a great party album with a roster of featured artists that reads like a shopping list for World of Electro Superstores. Appearing on fine form are Gruff Rhys, Chris Keating of Yeasayer, Beth Ditto, Jamie Lidell, Alexis Taylor from Hot Chip and New York avant-garde duo Telepathe. But the collaborations are not the only appeal; the music across all the tracks is brilliant, well up to the standard of any of the big electronic hitters coming over from the continent (Ed Banger Records, for example). As I say, if you’re looking for something to dance to and keep your mood up as winter crawls ever nearer, then this is the album for you. Stick it in your hi-fi, turn it up loud and revel in the fact you can dance like an idiot in the privacy of your own home, where no one gets embarrassed and leaves without you.
