Katie Anderson photographs synthesiser group Late of the Pier at a gig at the Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms on a British tour
Article
Late of the Pier are a young group from Castle Donington in the British Midlands.
After releasing three singles on the Way Out West, Moshi Moshi and Zacop labels, the group, which consists of Samuel Eastgate, Andrew Faley, Sam Potter and Ross Dawson, signed to Parlophone and released to much acclaim their debut album, ‘Fantasy Black Channel’, in August.
As a result of their heavy use of synthesisers, Late of the Pier have drawn comparisons with acts such as Gary Numan, Bill Nelson, Brian Eno, Metronomy and the Klaxons.
These photographs were taken by Katie Anderson on the 20th February at a Late of the Pier gig at the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth on a British tour.
