Review
The slight whine in Davy Henderson's voice should be all too familiar with most of you by now. Ever since the days of the Fire Engines and Nectarine #9, Davy Henderson has been tinkering with schemes of indie pop and merging them with lo-fi aesthetics.
'Here Come The Rubber Cops' fulfills such a mission but 'Outta Place Again' ultimately fits the bill. 'Here Come The Rubber Cops' features classic choruses plus genuine indie guitar strumming, yet fails to hit the chord needed for a Christmas number one.
With gentle grace, 'Outta Place Again' trods the path of indie schmertzdom and the message becomes apparant; those cops do the clubbing. On the B-Side you get more melody, albeit much less sophisticated.
