Fantastic new single from Queen, who now have former Free singer Paul Rodgers as their front man
Review
It has been thirteen years since the last studio album by Queen. Their new album,‘The Cosmos Rocks’, from which ‘C-Lebrity’ is the first single, takes the band in a different direction. The whole album was written, and recorded by the trio of Brian May, Roger Taylor and former Free vocalist, Paul Rodgers, who was Freddie Mercury’s favourite vocalist.
‘C-Lebrity’ slags off non celebrity celebrities such as the Big Brother crowd. This is classic rock, but it doesn't sound like the Queen of old, not even Brian May’s guitar solo, which sounds more in the vein of ZZ Top.
Without doubt, this is one of the best songs I have heard all year. To quote Morrissey, the Queen is dead ? No, they were just resting !
