Mirror Music - The Strange Things I'll Remember

Label: Darkroom Dubs
Format: CDS
Tension-building latest EP from Scottish techno act Mirror Music

Review

'Fun' leaves nothing else to be desired. The melody line seems to build on a crime series TV theme rendered unrecognizable as such. The straight and tight basses drop just where they are needed. On 'Sea Of Tranquility' Mirror Music get to business without further ado. Mirror Music pump it up from moment one and tops the rhythm with effective keynotes; simple in a cool way. The finishing Mirror Music touch comes to surface when the warm, glowing soundscape melt perfectly with Questionmarq's twisted but smooth beats on 'Midnight Sun'. Extra value comes with even more ingenious rolling over of the keys which adds to the excitement. These are 'Strange Things' and the sense of euphoria promised doesn't actually come true. Nothing wrong in building the tension though, and this EP does just that.

Track Listing:-
