Fine split single which merges classic song from the Subway Sect with two tracks from unknown, but 80's influenced new group Port Sulphur
Review
Going into double catalogue figures with this white vinyl seven inch release, Hamburg's Aufgeladen und Bereit combine the youth of Port Sulphur with the old and refined of a Subway Sect classic on the A-side. Port Sulphur's first track on the B-side is their cover of the Fire Engines's 'Discord' and appropriately enough it serves as a missing link between Subway Sect's 'Stool Pigeon' re-edit and the Port Sulphur's very own 'Finsbury Park' track.
In fact, if it had read on the press sheet that Port Sulphur's music had remained an unknown little gem until now, I would have believed it. The edgy chords from their guitar escadron roll in as if the 1980's still rule the world.
