Public Service Broadcasting are a London-based prog rock group consisting of J. Willgoose on guitar, banjo, other stringed instruments, samplings and electronica; Wrigglesworth on drums, piano and electronica, and J F Abraham on flugelhorn, bass guitar, drums and other instruments. The London-formed group have released three albums to date, including last year’s ‘Every Year’, which features guest appearances from several vocalists including the Manic Street Preachers’ James Dean Bradfield and is a concept record about the coal mining industry's rise and fall in Wales between the 1950s and 1980s. Public Service Broadcasting have become renowned for combining samples from old public information films, archive footage and propaganda material with their music.   Public Service Broadcasting spent April touring the UK, and these photographs of them were taken by Keith Ainsworth for Pennyblackmusic at a gig at the Liverpool Olympia on April 12th.
